Unrecorded by Kirkpatrick. 325, (3) pp. ads, A touch of foxing to the first and last few leaves, spine a trifle faded, a bit of rubbing to corners but certainly a near fine copy of a scarce issue. Kirkpatrick A10 for the first edition, but he does not not this Canadian issue. The Canadian issue consists of the sheets of the English edition with a cancel titlepage that included the imprint of the Canadian publisher Longmans in addition to the imprint of Edward Arnold (UK publisher). The imprint of the Longmans is at the foot of the spine.
