Description

Based in the village of Morey-Saint-Denis, Domaine Jacky Truchot-Martin was a 15-acre estate with vineyards in three Burgundy appellations. Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis and Chambolle-Musigny. In the winery, Truchot adopted a minimal-intervention approach, and his wines were rarely fined, filtered or sulphured. The business closed down after Jacky Truchot decided to retire in 2005 and since then his wines have become very rare and highly sought-after. The 2000 Charmes-Chambertin reveals notes of violets, spices, black cherries and a sprinkle of chocolate powder.
