Description

With a long history going back to the 15th century, Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is undoubtedly one of the finest producers in the Côte de Nuits. The estate is currently led by the sisters Comtesse Claire de Causans and Marie de Ladoucette, with Jean Lupatelli as chef de cave. De Vogüé holds a 7.2-hectare plot in the Musigny Grand Cru, by far the biggest landowner in the 10.8-hectare vineyard. 2003 will be remembered in Burgundy for its ferocious heatwave, but the best producers managed to make spectacular wines from that vintage.
