Description

Under the direction of Lalou Bize-Leroy, Domaine Leroy consists of 21 hectares biodynamically farmed vineyards across some of the most prized communes of Burgundy. Richebourg is one of six Grand Cru sites in the revered village of Vosne-Romanée and is often notable for producing wines of opulence, power and body. 2011 was a complex vintage for many producers but meticulous attention to detail in both the vineyard and winery has resulted in a superb set of releases from Leroy.

About this wine

The 1991 Richebourg from Domaine Leroy, despite its damaged capsule, is a testament to the remarkable quality of Burgundy wines. This vintage is celebrated for its rich complexity, embodying the essence of the Richebourg terroir with a balance of intensity and finesse. The 1991 Richebourg offers a harmonious blend of ripe red fruits, nuanced earthiness, and delicate spices, underlined by a vibrant acidity and well-integrated tannins, leading to a profoundly long finish. Aging has brought out the silkiness and complexity that Pinot Noir can achieve.
