The Port Ellen distillery & malt mill was established in 1825. Having been variously closed & re-opens throughout its history, the distillery last closed in 1983. The casks that remain un-bottled are highly prized among collectors & connoisseurs alike.

This 28 Year Old from Port Ellen represents the 7th release in the distillery's esteemed annual series, bottled in 2007. Distilled in 1979, this Scotch whisky encapsulates the essence of Islay with its complex aromas and flavors. Notes of peat smoke, maritime saltiness, citrus zest, and a subtle sweetness of dried fruits, leading to a long, complex finish.
