This expression is named after the iconic Easter Elchies house on the Macallan estate. Distilled in 1995, the single malt was matured in a single sherry cask for 11 years, before bottling in 2007, at a natural cask strength of 60.2% ABV. The nose opens to balsamic notes, eucalyptus, cedar, praline and caramelised pecan nuts. The palate is surprisingly sweet, with cooked plums, orange marmalade and a hint of liquorice.
