The Cartier Santos is a milestone in the history of watchmaking, being one of the first wristwatches ever made and certainly the first pilot watch. Created upon a request from aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont for an easy-to-read, hands-free timekeeper, the Cartier Santos was introduced in 1904. It retains its iconic design features such as the square case, Roman numerals, and exposed screws on the bezel. The model has evolved over the years, with improvements in its movements and materials, yet it maintains the essence of its original design.
