Rolex 1970s Day-Date wristwatch (ref. 1807), featuring a self-winding automatic movement; acrylic crystal; champagne-colored dial with applied gold hour markers; day-of-the-week aperture at 12 o'clock; date aperture at 3 o'clock; center seconds hand; and 36mm, 18k yellow gold case with a 'bark'-finish bezel on the President 18k yellow gold bracelet with central 'bark'-finish links. The Rolex Day-Date, introduced in 1956, was the first wristwatch to display the date and day of the week spelled out in full in a window on the dial. It is exclusively made of precious metals, primarily 18k gold or platinum. The Day-Date is often associated with influential figures and has earned the nickname 'The President’s Watch.'
