This piece shares some incredible history in the Cariter lineup dating back to 1904 when Louis Cartier produced a watch for his friend Alberto Santos-Dumont who requested a wrist watch as pocket watches were too cumbersome when flying, hence the Santos watch was born as the first pilot watch. Manufacture mechanical movement with manual winding, caliber 9611 MC. Steel case, PVD blue bezel, steel crown set with a faceted blue sapphire. Hours and minutes with skeletonized bridges forming Roman numerals. Individually numbered movement consisting of 138 parts including 20 rubies. Case width: 39.8 mm, thickness: 9.08 mm. Water-resistant up to 10 bar (approx. 100 meters/330 feet). Steel strap with "SmartLink" adjustment system. Second strap in blue rubber, with interchangeable steel deployant buckle. Both straps are fitted with the "QuickSwitch" interchangeable system. CONDITION This watch is new unworn/unsized, direct from an authorized dealer.
