An incredibly rare and all original 18K yellow gold Rolex Day-Date 36 mm President featuring a stunning wood dial. This watch was produced in 1979 and has model number 18038. This watch is all original and is in fantastic overall condition, with very little signs of previous wear and use; with no dents or dings. This watch has its original sapphire crystal with cyclops magnifier, date and day function, and a quickset function allowing the date to be set independently and quickly. The beautiful wood dial is in mint condition with no scratches or cracks. It has a warm dark coffee and caramel color throughout with eye-catching and very appealing swirls. The dial has a beautiful yellow gold border surrounding the date and day calendar wheels. The yellow gold Presidential bracelet is still very crisp with very little sag. This watch was recently serviced in house- is keeping precise time and is waterproof to Rolex standard.

The Rolex Day-Date, introduced in 1956, was the first wristwatch to display the date and day of the week spelled out in full in a window on the dial. It is exclusively made of precious metals, primarily 18k gold or platinum. The Day-Date is often associated with influential figures and has earned the nickname 'The President’s Watch.'
