Patek Philippe 18K white gold ref. 5038G with Certificate of Origin, made and sold in 1997 The 5038G was made as a limited series from 1996-1997 and was a ‘sportier’ offering of the perpetual calendar series dominated by the ref. 3940. With a decorated bezel and black dial with easily readable white roman numerals, the ref. 5038G was an instant success and soon sold out. Only 500 examples of this important reference were ever made. This example has its original Certificate of Origin that reveals it was originally sold at the Patek Philippe Salon in Geneva on February 8, 1997.
