With a decorated bezel and black dial with easily readable white roman numerals, the ref. 5038G was an instant success and soon sold out. Only 500 examples of this important reference were ever made. This example has its original Certificate of Origin that reveals it was originally sold at the Patek Philippe Salon in Geneva on February 8, 1997.
