R44s require an overhaul every 2200 hours or 12 years, whichever comes first. The original parts on the aircraft will have 5 years and 1200 hours. The parts that were replaced will have 1800 hours and 10 years. Therefore when the overhaul is due, the items replaced most recently will not have to be done at that time.
