This jet is an excellent opportunity to enter the world of jet warbirds at an economic price. The Aero Vodochody L-29 Delfin is the predecessor to the L-39 and served the Eastern Bloc as its primary jet trainer for 30 years, and as such, has the same relative ease of maintenance and operation.

The Aero L-29 Delfin (Czech: Dolphin) is a military jet trainer aircraft that was designed and produced by the Czechoslovakian aerospace manufacturer Aero Vodochody. It was the first jet trainer to be produced by the company and served as the standard jet trainer for the air forces of Warsaw Pact nations in the 1960s through the 1980s.
