Fast! The Owner sees speeds up to 165 KTAS ROP and 155 LOP. This aircraft finished second in the 2023 AirVenture Cup Race (would have won except for a missed turn). The owner averaged 161 knots over the course. The 1985 M20J is one of the favorites of the Mooney crowd. One Piece Belly, Sculpted Wingtips, Articulating Front Seats and Removable Back Seats all came Factory Standard. The aircraft does have hail damage. We have now looked over the aircraft after arrival at our place. There is a good amount of hail overall. While it is cosmetic only, we have dropped the price about $35,000 to account for the hail. You will expect to probably pay somewhere in the neighborhood of $10,000 to $15,000 extra for a new paint job should you want to have it all repaired. New skins on top of the ailerons, maybe a set of used flaps, flip the elevators over and do a microfil on the wings and fuselage. Not cheap but the aircraft can be fixed. We may have a paint slot open if you want to discuss that as a part of a deal. OR... You can just fly it like it is with the increased lift (they dimple golf balls for that very reason, right?).
