History of this Aircraft:
The Rockwell Commander 700 is one of the most undervalued pressurized twins on the market. It was designed and built by Fuji Heavy Industries in Japan, and then sent to Rockwell International in the US for assembly. This is one of the best designed and well built aircraft on the market today, Rockwell and Fuji eventually wanted to make this aircraft a 12,000 gross take off weight aircraft with PT-6’s, so they built the structure for that purpose. This twin can maintain sea level pressure in the cabin all the way to 14,000 feet, and has a ceiling of 25,000 feet. It has TIO-540 mounted on the plane (same as the Navajo), and will cruise at 200 knots at 75% power at 18,000 feet burning 37-40 gallons per hour. The cabin is one of the quietest cabins in its class, hold 210 Gallons of fuel and has a 1612 lbs. useful load.
The aircraft 2 inches wider than a King Air C90 and 4 inches taller, in fact the inside is so large, the entire cabin of a 414 can fit inside the cabin of the Rockwell Commander 700. To put things in perspective, the 700 is 3 inches wider and 10 inches taller than a Cessna 414. The width of the Commander allows for a staggering 18 inches between armrests, making it easy for anyone to walk right up to the cockpit and sit down.
There are two baggage areas on the 700, one inside the cabin which can accommodate 400 lbs of cargo, and a nose baggage compartment that can accommodate 300 lbs of cargo.
This is an all weather aircraft, full known icing, with Air Conditioning and one of the very few aircraft in existence today that does not have a AD on the airframe. When Rockwell and Fuji designed this aircraft they knew parts would be a concern, since only 32 were built they decided to use almost all over the counter parts, so most parts can be found easily. The engines are standard Lycoming engines as are all of the accessories. In addition, we have a list of places that have plenty of parts to keep these plane flying for a long time.
This is a Corporate Flight Department Aircraft that is professionally flown
