The Van's RV-9 is a two-seat, single-engine, low-wing homebuilt aircraft sold in kit form by Van's Aircraft. The RV-9 is a low-wing monoplane of metal construction with an aluminum airframe and empennage. It is designed for cross-country flying and has excellent handling characteristics. The 'A' model, known as the RV-9A, features tricycle landing gear, while the RV-9 has a taildragger configuration.
