Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively.The medium tint Plain Grain Maple neck has a smooth finish. With an AAA sort for dark Rosewood fingerboard, 10.5" radius and 21 jumbo frets, the '62 Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The '59 Esquire "C" neck profile is extremely comfortable and easy to play. It measures .790" at the 1st fret and .970" at the 12th fret.With a trio of hand wound Fender Custom Shop '60/'63 Strat pickups, it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat and is voiced to produce those hallmark throaty tones from those formidable years.Supreme quality from top to bottom and shipped in a Fender Custom Shop hardcase, it's easy to see the Fender Masterbuilders are so highly regarded.
