Description

If you read that listing, you probably already know that the red sparkle Les Paul deluxe from 1974/75 is one one the most sought after custom colours made by gibson during those years. 215 Blue sparkle, and only 124 Red sparkle deluxes were made, so the red is almost twice as rare ! On a total of 124 exemple, who knows how many were refinished, had headstock breaks or were routed for full size humbuckers, or replaced tuners with additional holes...? This one is one of the surviving exemples with none of the aformentioned issues ! It is in good original condition but has definitely been played, with some buckle rash (not through the finish) and wear. Original parts : - Double line / double ring Gibson Deluxe tuners (never removed) - Original "Deluxe" trussrod cover"- Original nut- Original frets (with nimbs still in place)- Original strap buttons- Original Mini Humbuckers with "pat number" decal still in place. - Original pickup ringss- Original ABR-1 TOM and Stop tailpiece with casting marks- Original electronics with pots dated 1974- Original back plates- Super cool original puple interior case (so often missing!) Non original parts - Jack plate- Switch tip-missing pickguard- possibly replaced knobs, as the reflector seem more frequent (but vintage correct speed kkobs that glows under black light. One ding is to be noticed on the top, other than that, very good overall cosmetic condition.
