Sunburst, early features including the small bridge and pickguard, skinny braces and a tapered headstock. All the goodness of a 40’s Gibson ladder braced guitar. All solid woods aged 73 years after sitting in a lumber yard in the 40’s before going to the Gibson mill room. Has a Sitka Spruce top, old-growth Honduran Mahogany back and sides, a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Imagine these ingredients on a new guitar.
This one has no cracks just dings and scratches of an old guitar that was repectfully played. There is a big ding on the sides. It’s pretty clean for a 70 year old guitars. It sounds great as you might expect from old wood and skinny braces with strong bass, long sustain and that focused mid-range that really records well. Comes with a newer hard case. Nice.
