The first guitar associated with Chuck Berry was the Gibson ES-350T in natural finish. Chuck's was from the first year of issue in 1955. There were only 55 natural ES-350Ts with P-90 pickups made in the mid '50s. Hence, this guitar is the 16th guitar from a limited run of 55 guitars. Originally made with a shorter than usual Gibson scale length of 23.5 inches to accomodate Tal Farlow's request for a guitar that would be easier to play chord melodies Chuck took to the 350T because the short scale facilitated string bending. After having to leave his guitar at a dance a couple of years after buying his first 350-T Chuck bought another one, made in 1957 with humbucking pickups.This run of guitars for Gibson represented the first ever "Signature" model replica of one of Chuck's most iconic guitars. As mentioned before it's one of 55 made and it's in almost unplayed condition. It comes with the original case, COA and some Chuck Berry ephemera like a replica of his string bolo tie he was often pictured wearing. The original shipping box is also included with this guitar.
