Summary: This 2019 OM-28 Modern Deluxe is packed with custom features and modern technology that you have to see, feel, and hear for yourself. The vintage appointments include a spruce Vintage Tone System top, a dovetail neck joint, and natural protein glue construction that give it the rich, fully aged Martin tone that has inspired generations. The look is unlike anything in Martin’s production line to date with European flamed maple binding, stylish gold frets, gold open-gear tuners, and a unique 1930s style script logo inlaid in pearl on the headstock. Some ultra-modern features include Liquidmetal bridge pins with red dots and a composite carbon fiber bridge plate that boosts volume. The OM-28 has a new neck shape that is slightly asymmetrical for maximum hand comfort up and down the fretboard.
Body: Spruce top with East Indian Rosewood back and sides in Gloss finish.
Neck: Mahogany with a Ebony fingerboard, 25.4” scale length, 1.75” nut width, 20 frets, Diamonds and Squares Long Pattern Abalone inlays.
Hardware: Gold open gear tuning keys, Ebony bridge, Liquidmetal bridge pins knobs, compensated bone saddle, bone nut.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has very light surface scratches on the body, including two very small dings on the top (pictured). The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has very light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
