Up for sale is my 1978 Gibson Les Paul Special '55. A very cool and great playing reissue made at the Gibson Kalamazoo factory. The guitar features a 1pcs body and 3pcs neck in mahogany with rosewood fretboard. The guitar is finished in a beautiful limed mahogany / TV yellow finish. The P90s are gone and some one have modified it for humbuckers (already done when I got it). I have installed PAF replicas from Q-pickups in Croatia. Alnico 2 magnets, the pickups measure 7,75 (bridge) and 7,6 (neck). The sound great in this guitar. The pots have been replaced with CTS 500K and the caps are PIO, all wired up with 50s wiring. The guitar original come with a Nashville bridge/tail piece, but they have been replaced with Callaham ABR-1 in nickel finish. Original knobs are replaced with bonnet knobs. One hole for a mini toggle switch have been filled with a mahogany plug. There appears to be some finish touch ups around the neck pickupApart for the modifications mentioned above, the guitar is all original as far as I can see. There are a few knicks and dings, most notably is a chip missing from the headstock. The neck is straight and the original frets are in good condition (a few minor marks). The guitar weighs 3,9 kg it I will ship it with its original gen 2 chainsaw case (one latch broken). Please contact me if you have any questions or need more images
