Professional guitar builder since 2002, Martin Tremblay has gained  both local and international recognition particularly for his Archtop and Gypsy guitars. His years with world acclaimed master builder Mario Beauregard as his assistant helped him strengthen his skills and knowledge. He is part of the acclaimed "Legacy guitar project" which is a join venture of luthiers that are part of the great Ervin V. Somogyi's family tree. He now counts several musicians of stature among his customers such as Biréli Lagrène and Denis Chang. Martin's inspiration for this one was Classic vintage design, shape and feel with the old Gibson sunburst. A very versatile instrument, the "Swiss knife" of Tremblay's guitars. It is brand new. It is packed with great Tones thanks to the building quality , meticulously chosen woods and hardware (ex: an Emerson cap on the Tone knob) and the amazing Suhr pickups. From creamy smooth Jazz, to Country, Blues, Funk and Rock (see video) this archtop has it all. Inside there is a Balsa wood block that really helps getting that great sustain while remaining very lightweight for a 15" archtop. Playing is effortless with the medium / fat C shape neck and Evo Gold frets.Note from Bruno: The Suhr SSV pickups are SO nice. Definitively on the warm side of the tonal spectrum, but with a certain bite. They sound really "full" and are very "volume knob friendly" especially with overdrive.
