Description

What a soundmighty player guitar, what a fabulous beauty from the “Custom Art & Historic” series of the Gibson Custom Shop! Perfect weight with only 3955 grams, an insane top and a sound from another planet! The neck is a little stronger here, somewhere between the '58 and '59 profile. This not only gives the guitar a lot of swinging mass, it also plays really well. And this Les Paul is simply an absolute tone monster: a fat sound that smacks nicely, doesn't muddy and offers endless sustain. The two “Classic 57” pickups transmit the resonant, wonderfully balanced basic character of this Paula to the amp in the best possible way: rocking out at full speed on the bridge, but always remaining beautifully open and balanced in terms of sound. Pure Blues on the neck with the finest singing lead sounds! Here you want to turn the volume pot to work with the great tone. No words are needed about the look of this Les Paul. The pictures speak for themselves: what a great combination of beautiful, pronounced grain and a phenomenal color tone! ...and then there's the incredibly attractive rosewood fingerboard! If this top player from the so-called “Good Wood” era didn't sound so fantastic, you could put this jewel in your living room as a purely decorative piece. But the playability and sound of the Paula are simply too good for that - you have to play this guitar! And that is exactly what it has been done during the last 24 years, as evidenced by slight signs of wear. But it is also this “natural aging” that gives it a very special authenticity. Otherwise, the guitar is in top condition and comes without a certificate as the Custom Shop did not issue one in 2000. So if you're looking for a great Rock Les Paul with a very special look, you've come to the right place!incl. original caseweight: 3955 gramssubject to differential taxation
