Behold, the unbelievably rare UK market Farida 2DCC Two Door Cinema Club Sam Halliday signature model, #18, one of only 25 ever made. This guitar has been a case queen since its manufacture in 2013, and I purchased it from the original owner. There have only been a couple up for sale over the last decade since they sold out from Dawsons.co.uk, the sole distributor for this guitar. As far as the specs, it is two-piece African mahogany, with a maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. It has a "fat P90" in the neck and an "alnico II" single coil in the bridge, which does Strat and surf tones nicely. The shape. WOW. Featured in the book, 1001 Guitars to Dream of Playing Before You Die, it is just as gorgeous in person as it is in pictures. It's like they took all of your favorite offsets and put them in a blender and came up with the best possible silhouette. In addition to the body shape, which was unique to only these 25 guitars, (plus Sam's identical personal instrument), this model also has unique features such as an integrated delay unit with controls for time, level, and repeat, as well as a large matching reversed headstock. It also has a Strat style tremolo unit for vibrato duties. It also comes with its original Farida hardshell case (with serial number sticker), the original trem bar and allen keys, the inspection card, and the personalized dog tags that also match the serial number 18 of 25. This guitar looks as though it has spent it's whole life in the case. All of the plastic is still on all of the pickguard, as well as the trem cover, and even the plastic covering barely shows any activity. The only marks of note are a slight bit of worming from where the body may have been rubbing against a button or something, on the back of the lower rear horn. I have tried to show this in the video, but it is impossible to see in pictures and in person under normal lighting. Very light. Other than that, it seems the guitar is a tight squeeze for the custom case, so you can see a bit of flex on the top of the case (that doesn't affect its functionality). There's also the tiniest poly paint crack in the neck pocket, and some slight oxidation on the hardware. It seems like it's not from even playing, but only because it has been in existence for 12 years. It could probably be polished, but it looks great and appropriate as it sits. I have added a personalized video of this exact guitar to the carousel, but if you would like to hear it in action, search "Farida JT-60 2DCC Signature Demo" on YouTube, and you will see a full playthrough by Lee Wrathe. I'll probably regret selling this one, but I have a custom guitar nearing completion, and the bill is due. My loss is your gain. Will ship double boxed and fully covered by Reverb. Buy this unobtanium before I change my mind!
