OMG #67 was custom ordered and completed in 2014. This instrument has exceptional wood selections on the top and back. The original order also called for a number of simplified elements to the trim, in lieu of the standard herringbone. SCGC provided an email list of the custom items from the original order, which is included in the photographs. The Cocobolo body and Bearclaw Italian Spruce top are truly select pieces showing highly figured grain patterns and that beautiful red color in the back. The fret board is ebony and the frets barely show any use. The trim work is elegant with abalone dot inlays and Brazilian rosewood for the bindings, rosette, and headstock overlay. I hate to say the cliche' "Sounds Amazing," but it really does. It produces a lot of tone qualities I don't hear in other nice guitars. The bass is deep and clear, like stiking a piano note. It excels with a good finger picker, and projects loudly when flat picking or playing rhythm chords. The action is low and plays very comfortably, could possibly go a bit lower. Please check the SCGC website if you need more specifics on dimensions and design details. This guitar is in excellent condition, as Reverb defines it. It has normal light handling wear, such as light surface marks and some light indentations in the finish. The case is also in great shape, but does have a few small marks/scrapes. It is heavy duty and literally quite heavy, with a custom fitted interior, six latches that all work, and keys in the stash box.I normally ship with FedEx Ground within a day or two of payment, weekends and holidays may take a little longer. I will probably have them pack this one. I also insure all items for the full purchase amount.
