Fender esquire 1959 - Black refin contoured body Great player This is a real 1959 neck and body the neck has alot of old overspray removed and a new decal and some touchup. The body is refinished and edges have been rounded off. The original parts are the neck and body, single line klusons , neck plate bridge it does have extra notches (see pics) The control plate is 60's the knobs are black from a 60's champ the rest are newer parts. Total guitar weighs 6 lbs 7 ozs. Comes in newer case I have the neck and body listed in different ads you can see all the pics on my other listing.Neck.....Fender Telecaster / Esquire 1959-60 Neck ......Neck had old overspray over the original finish some had worn off the back I cleaned some off the front where it is spotty also the decal is changed to a custon esquire. Neck is in good shape and has NO extra holes and no oversanding and its a decent size slab neck. I just had the neck refretted with medium size frets and it plays great. Neck is straight and truss rod works but its back off right now. Neck is 1.641 wide at nut .....1.817 at 5th ......1.985 at 12th.....its 0.805 thick at 1st fret.....0.873 at 5th.....0.972 at 12th.....its2.198 wide at middle of heal.Overall a great playing slab neck with alot of vibe.Body .....Fender telecaster 1959 - Black Body modded but very cool this body has been rounded off at the edges much like a strat tele hybrid the body with parts weigh 5 lbs. The body has no other extra routes other than the edge rounding. Body comes with it original neck plate but no neck screws and original strap pegs the rest is new parts. I have this set up as an Esquire with a SD pickup and all new parts. The pots are split shaft and new switch its set up with the eldrege mod so all 3 positions sound good. The pickguard is trimmed a little to fit the contours but as is I think it looks great.
