Made in USA Gretsch Custom Shop has urgently arrived a model inspired by Brian Setzer's 57/58 Jet Blue Sparkle! Gretsch Custom Shop's newest model is now in stock! The 6129 was created as a color variation of Gretsch's solid model 6128 “Duo Jet” introduced in 1953. It was the brainchild of Jimmie Webster, the famous Gretsch salesman who is also famous as the creator of the White Falcon, the most beautiful guitar in the world. The idea of attaching a drum shell to the top of a guitar body was a bizarre one at the time. Although it is a solid model, the inside of the body is hollow (chamber) structure, and the unique sound with a hollow feeling, which is unique to Gretsch, is an attractive model. The Custom Shop's selection of materials and the rare master builder's integration have resulted in a Gretsch model that surpasses any other vintage Gretsch model. This order is not just a vintage reissue, but a modified version of Brian's 57/58 Blue Sparkle Duo Jet! It is equipped with a Bigsby B3C vibrato unit, a non-pickguard (BlackPG is included separately), and a Tune-O type bridge.The pegs for this spec were originally Sperzel Trim lock, but since they are no longer available, a Grover Locking Tuner of the same quality is installed. The color is “Blue Sparkle,” but it is actually quite greenish, similar to the color of Brian's model. For the P.U., a TV Jones T-Armond, which reproduces the DualMond (Dynasonic) sound, was selected (they also rewound Brian's actual machine). It has a unique magnetic field and has a more attacky and aggressive “twangy sound” than the later Filtertron P.U. It sensitively picks up the string vibration and airiness. The P.U. is prone to feedback when equipped with a full acoustic, but it is an excellent match for this solid model. The guitar has a wide sweet spot from the rear rock sound to the front jazzy tone. A golden era Gretsch produced with the highest quality of all time. Please check out this greatness.
