Description

For sale is this 1998 Gibson ES-175D. It's in excellent playing condition and comes with it's original hard shell case. I'm the original owner of this guitar and have played it extensively for 2+ decades now. It plays and sounds amazing, as one would expect from a Gibson USA guitar! The pickups are original as is the hardware. It does have some weather checking, minor dings and scuffs - it's been played! :) The frets are in fantastic condition, I recently had them leveled and crowned. The autographs are from Jazz pianists Buddy Montgomery (Wes Montgomery's brother) and Cedar Walton from when I shared some bills with them. I do have a pic of Buddy autographing it but not of Cedar. The autographs are on the top of the upper bout so if you're not a Jazz fan they're pretty unobtrusive. They are clear coated but if you really wanted to remove them, well - where there's a will there's a way :) I do love this guitar but I've developed some nerve issues in my neck and right shoulder that causes my right arm to tingle when I play larger bodied instruments. I'm much more comfortable on ES-335 style guitars these days. So I decided to put it back out there for someone else to enjoy! It's currently strung with fresh D'Addario half wounds, .010 - .046 with an .011 on top. The case is solid and in pretty good condition for it's vintage. Shipping to the lower 48 is free and I will insure via Reverb's safe shipping. Questions and requests for more pics are welcomed.
