Description

As far as Martin lore goes, 1946 may have be past the wartime cutoff, but it yields some of the best sounding guitars from the legendary maker. This was the first year for sitka spruce, typically a dark variety, and is supported by tapered x-bracing. We also see the beginnings of a chunkier/fuller neck profile that assists in resonance of the guitar. This example has had tasteful, minimal, repairs over the year; listed in the Specs tab. If you only had one vintage guitar, a 000-18 should do it: it's not too big, and it sounds larger than it looks. Comes with 1980s hardshell case.
