The Oak was harvested from a peat bog in the UK and has been submerged in complete darkness for thousands of years. The beginning stages of fossilization and the sediment give it this rare black hue, very similar to African Blackwood. The wood has aged over millenia to become and extremely dense yet highly vibrant tone wood that is amazing to behold. Pair with an old growth Redwood top, this wood have cured naturally, sunken in the lakes and rivers of the US west coast.
