Description

Developed by Seth Lover, who joined Fender in 1971, the “cunife” pickup features a two-coil humbucking design that uses 12 cunife screws connected on the bottom by a steel plate. Cunife is an alloy named for its three constituent metals—copper (Cu), nickel (Ni) and iron (Fe)—and in instrument pickups it produces a distinctive “hi fidelity” sound with rich bass and clear treble, and they never lose their attack or definition when pushed. We used samples of the original magnets to develop these pickups over a two-year period, and we’ve brought the material back exactly as it was 40 years ago.The guitar features a two-piece roasted alder body, a quarter sawn maple neck with a Large “C” back-shape and rosewood fretboard, and 9.5”-radius fingerboard with 21 narrow tall frets. Hand-wound Loaded '51 nocaster pickup(bridge) and wide-range cunife (neck) pickups feature three-way switching and Dual Stack HS Tele wiring. Additional features include a 3-ply mint green pickguard, vintage-style tuners, bone nut. Also includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.Other specifications include:Model Name: Limited Edition Cunife Tele® Custom Relic®, Rosewood Fingerboard, Aged Ocean Turquoise over 3-Tone SunburstModel Number: 9232000930Series: Limited EditionColor: Aged Ocean Turquoise over 3-Tone SunburstBody Shape: Telecaster®Body Material: 2-Piece Roasted AlderBody Finish: Nitrocellulose LacquerNeck Material: Quarter Sawn MapleNeck Shape: Large "C"Scale Length: 25.5" (648 mm)Fingerboard Radius: 9.5" (241 mm)Number of Frets: 21Fret Size: Narrow TallString Nut: BoneNut Width: 1.650" (42 mm)Truss Rod Nut: Vintage-Style SlottedNeck Plate: 4-Bolt "Limited Edition" EngravedNeck Finish: Nitrocellulose LacquerFingerboard: RosewoodPosition Inlays: Micarta White DotBridge Pickup: Custom Shop Hand-Wound Loaded '51 NocasterNeck Pickup: Wide-Range CuNiFe HumbuckingControls: Volume, TonePickup Switching: 3-Position Toggle: Position 1. About Telecaster

The Fender Telecaster, known affectionately as the "Tele," emerged as the first mass-produced solid-body electric guitar, marking a significant milestone in music history. Its straightforward design and innovative sound paved the way for new trends in electric guitar manufacturing and popular music. Since its debut in the 1950s, the Telecaster has been celebrated for its versatility, serving artists across genres from country to jazz, rock, and beyond. Its solid construction, characterized by a single-cutaway body made typically from alder or ash and a bolt-on maple neck, contributes to its distinct, bright, and cutting tone as well as a warm, mellow sound depending on pickup selection. With minor modifications over the years, the Telecaster has remained largely faithful to its original design, featuring two single-coil pickups, a three-way selector switch, and simple volume and tone controls. This enduring design has kept the Telecaster relevant and in continuous production, solidifying its status as a beloved icon in the guitar world.
