Description

UPDATE added photos of removed pickguard, wiring and pots. An all original, very light, 1966 Precision bass with original case. Per a viewers request I removed the pickguard to confirm the harness is all original, it is. The pots are stamped 02367 as usual for a 66 but date codes on both pots are obscured by solder and flux. You can see a 13 or 18 but the 66 is covered. The remainder of the date stamps / etc. are all 1966, 5 Oct 66 C neck stamp, hand written November 1966 pickup dates on gray bobbins and cloth wire, Serial number 190537. It weighs 8lb 4oz and 8lb 9oz with original covers installed. No neck issues, tons of fret life left, sounds and plays like a vintage 60's P bass should with low action and no fret buzz. It has that unique mid 60's sunburst with a bright yellow center. As far as condition, look at the photos. There is one ding in the back, a couple of minor edge dings and 2 finish scratches on the back of the neck. The nitro lacquer finish has checking on the body and headstock as expected on a 58 year old guitar. The pickguard has some minor shrinkage but no cracks or damage. The tone knob has a slight ridge on it and the volume does not but both are from the 60's, and to my knowledge are original to this bass. The original case is in very good condition but missing the F in Fender. For almost 60 years on this earth, this bass is in amazing condition.Shipping to the lower 48 is $189 including insurance which is about 40% of that cost
