Description

In 1967, the top of the line Martin was the D-35; it had extra binding, a stylish 3-piece back, and slightly lighter bracing that allowed the top to resonate like the older Martins; this one was further scalloped on the X-braces. Being 1967, it still has the smaller maple bridge plate. This example sounds fantastic and recently underwent a neck reset and a replacement bridge to ensure a proper drive of the top. In addition, at some point in its life, this guitar was reworked by the factory: the back was replaced with Indian rosewood, the body was oversprayed and it received wide/low frets; it plays very comfortably. Comes in vintage HSC with orange velvet lining
