There is no substitute for the sound and look of the iconic Rickenbacker 12-string guitar. Top quality craftsmanship was standard practice in their early days and that’s evident all throughout this classic beauty. Now a Rick staple, their original features were also created back then—toaster pickups, plexiglass logo, twelve alternating tuning keys on a normal size headstock, mono/stereo output jacks, checkerboard binding, two pickup blending knob. An attractive pink/red fireglo finish and “cats eye“ sound hole also added to Rickenbacker’s unique look. The bound neck is made of maple & walnut strips with a lacquered Padauk fingerboard and cool looking crushed pearl glitter inlays. Neck is slim, very comfortable & easy to play with low action. The backside of this guitar is particularly beautiful as it has a natural cat face (two eyes, nose & whiskers) image created from the book matched maple wood grain. Both George Harrison and Roger McGuinn famously made the 360/12 a defining sound of the mid-late ‘60s, and this one’s straight out of that era! Purchased new from the legendary music store Manny’s Music on 48th St. in NYC back in 1968, she’s a real gem in near mint condition with original silver tolex hard shell case.
