Description

2003 Gretsch G6120TPSP in Orange Stain finish. Excellent condition. Just a tiny bit of evidence it’s ever been handled. This guitar came out of Fred Gretsch’s personal collection. Was most likely a sample sent to him by Fender to show the initial quality control under FMIC after agreement between them and Mr Gretsch for the right to manufacture. An explanation of this model from the Gretsch forum: “Gretsch revamped the Brian Setzer signature line in late 2003 and the 6120TMSP was essentially a 'leftover' 1st gen Setzer SSU which they simply rebranded and sold exclusively through Guitar Center. It's doubtful it was ever listed in any Gretsch catalog. TMSP stands for Tiger Maple Special and the specs were nearly the same as an SSU... 2.75" body depth, tone post bracing, Sperzel locking tuners, 9.5" radius neck with soft V profile and larger frets, floating abr bridge, etc. Pickups were High Sensitive Filtertrons. Of course 2003 was a transition year and there were a lot of anomalies and variations in models so there might be subtle differences in features from one guitar to the next. It was also the first full year of production under the control of FMIC (Fender Musical Instruments).” Original Hard Shell GreTsch Case  -Instrument is sold **As Described** so please as any and all questions before purchasing.
