MASARU KOHNO No. 10 1973 CLASSICAL w/HSC Improved photos now uploaded... Very high quality classical made by Japan's most celebrated luthier, Masaru Kohno. Plays and sounds superb. Last May we had new tuners fitted at the Kohno factory in Saitama. They of course replaced the strings and set it up while we were there. (See invoice photo). The old ones are included. It has hardly been let out of its temperature & humidity controlled cage since then. Cosmetically it's a body of two halves. From the back it could almost be new. From the front it has considerable play wear. This we have tried to show as gruesomely as possible. A few minor chips to the finish around the edges but nothing to raise an eyebrow over. Again, we have tried to illustrate these superficial flaws as openly as possible. There are absolutely zero structural issues - no cracks, splits or repairs of any kind. Save for the above-mentioned tuners which are a renewable anyway. The neck is in first rate condition and the ebony fingerboard is beautiful with minimal fret wear for its age. Beyond this, only very minor blemishes to the entire neck and headstock. This lovely guitar comes from a personal collection. I am simply not playing enough classical these days to warrant keeping it.Also check out our listing for the superb AER classic compact combo which I was playing this guitar through. The combination of this Kohno + the AER is quite sublime. If you are interested in both together, please get in touch for a very special deal. The guitar will be shipped in a good quality fitted case by Takabe which is also in great condition. Maybe we have got something you've been searching for.VEJ-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------A Note On Shipping:We want you to be fully satisfied with everything - from the item itself (naturally!) through the shipping, packaging, communication etc.Of course there is nothing we can do about customs duty, local taxes etc at your end. But we can keep the overall price as competitive as is decently possible. The Japan post office service (EMS) is reliable and efficient but shipping costs from Japan to Europe or the states are unavoidably expensive. For this reason none of the shipping costs we quote reflect the actual price we have to pay. We are more than willing to take a hit on that to make things as attractive for you as possible.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Vintage Instruments & EquipmentShipping by air plus climatic changes can affect how a guitar is set up - no matter how well it is packed. Consequently there is no guarantee that an instrument arrives with exactly the same set up as stated. After a period of acclimatisation, you may still need to make any adjustments at your own expense.
