This is a very rare 2004 Custom Vine SJ-200, and it’s in *near-perfect, mint condition. NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE OTHERS ON HERE........ read onThis guitar epitomizes Gibson craftsmanship from Ren Ferguson’s time in Bozeman. The attention to detail on this Vine model is exceptional, surpassing other Vine guitars from Gibson. With its superior build quality and unique hand-crafted details by Ren Ferguson, it’s a collector’s dream and a testament to Gibson's finest work. The fretboard is made from jet-black ebony, which is unique because most J-200 Vines have rosewood. It features a top-notch AAA Sitka spruce top and AAA Quilted maple back and sides—some of the best materials you’ll find. The body is beautifully adorned with abalone purfling on the top, back, and sides, which is a rare feature for Gibsons. It also has a pearl truss rod cover and Waverly engraved gold tuners. The pickguard is special too, showcasing hand-engraved vines and a hummingbird, along with the rare RF initials—Ren Ferguson’s mark. The inlays are meticulously hand-cut and engraved by Ren himself, with intricate pearl inlays that feature detailed etchings. These hand-done engravings take hours and can’t be replicated by machines, which is why they were eventually discontinued on later J-200 Vines.Included with the guitar are the original hardshell case, paperwork, and an additional Hiscox case.*A tiny bit of finish checking on the back of the headstock.
