Description

Goodall guitars are particularly great, and the Koa guitars from this era are just plain outstanding. This is the third Goodall to cross our threshold over the last handful of months, each constructed with the highest quality woods available.  This guitar is no exception.  While the back and sides grab your eye, the impeccable grain of the Engelmann should not be ignored.  Everything else falls in line with impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail: the fretwork, the headstock overlay, the wood multi-ply binding, the inlays, and the most gorgeous ebony fretboard ever.  The guitar is a thing of beauty. The guitar isn't just a thing to look at - it is a player as well, and the sound is exceptional.  Koa is a great tonewood that keeps up sonically with its visual appeal, providing brilliance with balance. The previous owner, or owners, took great care of this beauty.  It is in amazingly clean condition for a 30 years old guitar.  The frets show very light wear.  There are no areas of wear to note, just superficial signs that the guitar has been out of the case and handled.  Unlike other clean acoustic guitars, it has the voice of one that has been played.  This is sure to improve when played regularly. There are no changes, repairs, cracks or issues.  The neck is perfect, as is the action.  The original case is included as well.Mahar's Vintage Guitars is a brick-and-mortar and web-based retailer.
