For sale is a rare Martin HD-40 MK, hand-signed by Mark Knopfler, developed in close collaboration with the Dire Straits frontman. This Dreadnought guitar was made in the USA in 2001 and limited to 251 pieces. The instrument stands out for its high-quality craftsmanship and the selection of premium tonewoods.The guitar features a top made of Italian Alpine spruce from the legendary Val di Fiemme, one of the world’s finest wood suppliers for musical instruments. This spruce is prized for its ability to produce subtle tonal nuances and exceptional overtones, making it perfect for fingerstyle players who appreciate detailed sound. The body is made of East Indian rosewood, providing deep, resonant bass and balanced projection.The ebony fingerboard is adorned with 42-style Snowflake inlays, and Mark Knopfler’s signature is located between the 19th and 20th frets. Another highlight is the headstock, made from Indian rosewood, inlaid with a mother-of-pearl CF Martin logo, framed by ivoroid binding.This guitar is in excellent, nearly mint condition and comes with its original Martin Geib-Style Deluxe case.Specifications:Model: HD-40MK (Mark Knopfler)
