In 2002 the Gibson Custom Shop dedicated in a strictly limited edition of just 250 specimens its own signature Paula to Gary Rossington, the guitarist of the band Lynyrd Skynyrd, who sadly passed away recently. It is said, that this guitar is one of the best-sounding Les Pauls ever. It is also one of the first series, for which Tom Murphy took on the aging himself. And what a great job he did! Every little detail of Gary's original '59 called “Bernice” up to the almost two-tone fingerboard has been meticulously recreated.
