"Adirondack and Brazilian: The perfect recipe for a dreadnought cannon that can go toe-to-toe with an Loar or Mastertone. It has a big bark, but lots of warmth as well. The chords are sweet, and the single notes shine like diamonds."As Pre-War Co. says, you can step into "the bluegrass time machine" with this Herringbone D-28, without having to spend true pre-war Old Bone cash! This really is a fabulous sounding Brazilian dreadnought that lives up to the company's aim. Dig in hard with a Blue Chip and this guitar steps up, delivering huge, commanding chords and searing leads. But if you want to sweeten it up and slow it down with a little fingerpicking, this guitar sounds great doing that, too. The soft open pore finish on the neck comes about as close to mimicking the real deal as we see, and we love the feel under the left hand. Judging by the condition, this one was made with the "New Old Stock" distress level, with consistent checking across the top and just a few marks on the back (which may have been earned honestly, too). Comes in a Harptone hardshell case.
