Very rare, very cool lefthanded circa 2003 Gibson Custom Shop L4-CES in a nice vintage sunburst. One owner guitar, with original certificate of authenticity and case. Overall condition is excellent, plays and sounds great, a handful of small dings and some finish swirls and wear as one would expect on a well-loved 22 year old instrument. Gibson no longer makes these, and you almost never see a lefty pop up.Gibson says (or said in 2003, more accurately): "Even though Gibson had orginally created the laminated top ES-175 in 1948 to fill the need for an electric version of the acoustic, carved top L-4C, the demand still existed for an electric L-4 with a fully carved top. In the late 1950's Gibson answered this call by releasing small runs of variously configured L-4 CES guitars:some with Charlie Christian pickups, some with Alnico pickups, and some with humbuckers.
