One of only 134 000-28s made in 1953.One of the top 3 best sounding guitars I have ever had the pleasure of playing.Very rare, plays great, and sounds like a grand piano. Currently has bone bridge pins.Original hardshell case with original tuners and bridge pins in the case.These don't come up very often, and one has not sold on Reverb in a long time.Please watch the accompanying description and sound clip video for more details.Here is the description from the appraisal done by Austin Vintage Guitars in 2020:Instrument: 1953 Martin 000-28 Serial Number: 1288XX Description: Brazilian Rosewood Back and Sides, Sitka Spruce Top, with mahogany neck and headstock. 15" Lower Bout Width, 24.9" Scale Length, 4 1/8" Depth at Lower Bout, Overall Length 19 3/8", Mahogany Neck. Bound body and neck.Condition: Replaced tuners, bridge is a period correct replacement. Back and sides are in excellent condition. The top has typical play wear and signs of a few glue marks and a few cracks behind the bridge that have been repaired.-----Note: Cross-listed on other platforms (will remove when sold).
