A 1966 Gibson Barney Kessel Custom. Cherry Sunburst Finish over a Flamed Maple Top, Gold Hardware, Dual Patent Sticker Pickups, Gold Bonnet knobs, 5 Piece Flamed Maple neck, Factory Grover Tuners, and the Great Looking Bow Tie Inlays of the BK Custom. Other than an added strap button on the heel and a couple of newer screws, the guitar is original. Very Good Vintage Condition displaying some normal play wear with a small patch of belt buckle wear, finish checking throughout, and a small common stress line at the jack. No headstock cracks or repairs. A very attractive guitar that sounds great. Pickups are factory out of phase in the middle position as we often find with BK Customs. These Barney Kessel Customs were produced in very small numbers as this is one of only 57 made in 1966. Included is a recent Gretsch hardshell case.
