Description

Gibson LG-2 guitar made in Kalamazoo, MI in 1962. Serial number 59433. I was in a bit of a flemmy-fog when taking the photos of this instrument and I think my inner ear was off a bit as some of the photos are leaning a bit aft. This is a nicely preserved specimen, in completely original condition including the adjustable Brazilian Rosewood bridge and fingerboard, pickguard, Kluson Deluxe tuners and buttons, and truss rod cover. The truss rod has been oiled and adjusted. The fingerboard has been cleaned and oiled and the bridge adjusted for playability. The instrument has an adjustable bridge with the original parts and well as a thin small Maple original bridge plate. The guitar is X-braced and has a well rounded woody sound and plays well up and down the finger board. There is one repair to the instrument which is a glued and cleated soundboard crack that runs along the pickguard and fingerboard. These types of cracks are fairly common on flat top guitars that have a large glued pickguard that does not allow for much movement in the top with changes in humidity.Included in the sale is a very nice firm fitting Guardian hard shell case with crushed green plush interior.1 5/8" nutC Profile neckString height at the 12th fret is 5/32" on the base side and 1/8" on the treble side. The guitar weighs 3.15 lbs.48 hour approval on all guitars and amps.Pearl Guitars, Portland Oregon
