Up for sale we have a 2014 Gibson Custom Shop Wes Montgomery Custom L-5 "Crimson" Arch Top Electric Hollowbody Guitar with original hardshell case and COA. The guitar is in fantastic clean condition showing very little signs of use, there are some light pick scratches on the pickguard from normal flat picking but overall it looks like the guitar was played a handful of times and then put away from new. This Custom L-5 features a 25 1/2" scale length, fully hollow body with a carved solid Spruce top, Maple back and sides, bound top and back (black and white multi-ply binding), gold hardware, tortoiseshell pickguard, a single Gibson '57 Classic humbucking pickup in the neck position with black surround, volume and tone controls, Tune-O-Matic bridge with wooden base and a beautiful L-5 tailpiece with Wes Montgomery and L-5 engravings. The medium sized Flamed Maple neck features a comfortable round "C" shape profile measuring .880" deep at the first fret and .990" deep at the ninth fret. Ebony fingerboard with 10" radius, pearl block inlaid fret markers and 20 original medium jumbo frets. The frets show virtually no visible play wear. The headstock features black and white multi-ply binding, pearl inlaid Gibson and Flower Pot logos, "L-5 Custom" truss cover, Gibson branded Schaller M6b tuning machines and a Stinger around back! The neck is nice and straight and plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or buzzing. The guitar weighs in at 7 lbs. 5 oz.
