Here's a 1978 Rickenbacker 4001 Bass in Jetglo finish. Serial RK6420, dates the bass to November of 1978. Super vibey 4001 here, that plays and sounds great! The bridge pickup and the bridge assembly are brand new, ordered directly from Rickenbacker. Neck pickup is original. One pot is changed, while the other three are original and date to '78. The tuners are changed as well, but are the correct size (no extra holes). There's also a section of finish touch up on the back of the neck. No breaks/cracks though. Everything else is original, and in great shape. Playability is exceptional, with easy playing low action down the entire neck. Truss rods function properly. And the tone delivers all the classic Rick sounds you'd come to expect!! Sounds incredible. And of course the bass has the Rick-O-Sound stereo output for even more glorious options.
