Description

This is Kinnaird's take on Martin's OM - traditional all-arounder has remained one of their top sellers. This was the first deep body OM Kinnaird made. This OM has a premium Bear-claw Sitka Spruce top combined with a stunning old growth Brazilian Rosewood back. The top is more of a dark chocolate color but it always photographs with a bit of red tinge. Trimmed out in Quilted Sapele with Brazilian RW peg-head, fretboard, and bridge, this beauty is a wood lover's delight. Gold Waverly tuners and Fossilized Mammoth Ivory nut, saddle and bridge pins set off the details of an heirloom piece. Sold with a Calton flight case, you'll never have to worry about safety while traveling. This 2010 guitar is unrivaled and you will never see another guitar with this combination of master-grade wood. I'm preparing to move so I'm downsizing and selling a few of my great guitars. This is for sale locally and on guitar forums so it could sell without notice. I purchased this from Stephen Kinnaird and it remains in almost mint condition. Please look at the final two headstock photos which show the headstock from 2 feet away (no blemish) and the final extreme close up showing a tiny circular ding that was near impossible to photograph and 99% of people would never see. If there is any other mark, I don't find it. Let's call the guitar 10- or mint-. The Gold EVO frets are pristine. I sent it back to Mr. Kinnaird about 5 years ago for a refret and the gold EVO frets are (like the guitar) near mint. Have you always wanted that played-in sound of a full-bodied Brazilian guitar? This instrument has it! Warm sweet trebles with a hauntingly rich bass combined with a finger-stylist sensitivity. You can just pull out the slightest quiet clean tone or ramp it up to a cannonade. Listen to the video of Steve DeVries playing it and feel its power. This guitar now books out north of $10,000 for a similar build, but this one is unique. Sold with Calton flight case**.  The Brazilian Rosewood used on this instrument will not come up again.
