Fender Stratocaster Custom Shop –– Limited Edition Wildwood 10 ’61 Relic Ready Gorgeous and rare Lake Placid Blue colorI really hate to let go of the this absolutely special and difficult-to-find Strat but I need to thin the herd.This guitar is based on 1961 specs with some key differences:The “Wildwood 10” denotes a 10” fretboard radius vs. the vintage 7.25”.  Chords ring out and the bends don’t choke out like on vintage necks.  Also the fretwire is more medium sized vs tiny vintage wire.  All in all, makes this guitar much more player-friendly while maintaining a vintage vibe.  60’s oval C neck shape is comfortable up and down the neck.  The finish is a special edition “relic ready” ultra thin nitro finish.  Instead of being artificially reliced, it is designed to age and wear naturally.  Despite the fact that there is virtually zero wear on the guitar, there are a few shallow surface scratches only visible at certain light angles and a tiny chip- all from normal handling (pictured).  Again, this finish is intended to be accumulate this kind of characteristic wear. Sound-wise it is resonant and intonates perfectly.  Weight is 7.68 lb.
